About Us

Who we are

We specialize in affordable home renovations, both large and small, that maximizes the homeowners return on investment. As a Real Estate Broker , since 1991, I have experience helping clients wisely spend their home renovation dollars.

We have been renovating homes for homeowners and real estate investors since 1991 and what we enjoy the most is watching a property transform throughout the construction process. Much of our experience has been with helping clients who are getting ready to sell their homes and nothing makes us happier than when that client gets a larger check at closing because we increased the value of their home!

I cannot think of enough positive adjectives to describe my experience with RH and sons finish carpentry. I hired Rob to do crown molding in my master bedroom, as a surprise Christmas present for my wife. Rob was sensitive to the surprise, making all calls after my wife had left for work, did all of the preliminary work off-site, and did the installation in several hours, two days before Christmas. The finished product was perfect, matching the existing stain color, and expert craftmanship in installation. Rob is honest, fair, punctual, and precise. He is prompt with correspondence, and easy to work with. I would not hesitate to hire him again! – Jim M.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our company consists of my son and I so we are able to keep our prices low and very competitive. We do hire subs for plumbing and electrical work but we do everything else. We discuss material and construction options that will save our customer money. Additionally we shop our suppliers to find the best price for those materials and we pass the savings on to the customer.

We like to meet with the customer so we know exactly what they would like done at their property before we come up with a quote. We take the time to go over the customers plans and then we discuss material choices and timelines and then finally price.

I started working in construction in 1986 as an apprentice doing residential remodel work. I learned from one of the best trim carpenters in the St. Paul/Mpls area and I continued learning from him until 1991 when he retired. I started investing in rental real estate in 1991 after I got my brokers license and with every property we rehabbed came more experience.

I can’t even begin to express how happy we are with the work that was completed by RH and Sons. They were originally hired to remove a wall between our kitchen and dining room. We decided on a soffit and upper cabinet removal add-on on the day of demolition. The team was professional, experienced, flexible, honest, and worked within our budget. We are still mid-project but the final result is beautiful! – Kela K.

I hired RH and Sons to tile my shower. They did an excellent job, very professional, great to communicate with and very clean at the end of each day. Would recommend these guys and will hire again for another project. – Kevin K.

I can’t say enough good things about RH and Sons! Rob, Aaron and the rest of his crew were great. The work was done perfect, communication was awesome and each day they cleaned up before they left for the day. Being a widow, it’s sometimes hard to get things done but Rob and his guys were kind enough to help me here and there with something outside of the scope of work. One of my dogs sat by the door every morning waiting for Aaron to show up. I highly recommend RH and Sons, now on to Phase II of my remodel!. – Salli C.
